1930s cream Chimayo handwoven coat

This beauty has been in my personal collection for ages. It features the most beautiful red, back and white woven Chimayo designs on the back and all down the sleeves and wooden buttons. There is lots of extra sleeve length hemmed in with more incredible designs if you need more length there as well. Hand pathed leather reinforcements on the back of both sleeves. A very special collectors item.

As is: lining is very worn in parts and has tears. Small little dings and moth holes on fabric throughout- typical of a wool garment this age. Slight discoloration. Fine matching leather patching has been done on both back arm seams for reinforcement at some point. Finely done. Some faint stain spots and the inner tacking on one sleeve cuff came undone and I’ve always worn it tucked in but you can re tack it if you’d like. Similarly there is loads of extra length and gorgeous weaving if you need to extend sleeve length. Possibly a flaw I missed
